Ground signs come in different styles, sizes and types. Pylon or pole signs can be mounted on one pole or between two poles with or without pole wraps. They are generally internally illuminated with florescent lamps and or neon tubing.

 Monument signs are a unique subclass of the Ground Sign. Generaly a monument sign is a sign structure which is a continuous object either directly on the ground, or on a base, pedestal or platform. They are usually non illuminated or indirectly illuminated. They are constucted of many differnt materials such as solid stone, concrete block, framed with Stucco or EFIS cover, or welded aluminum. They can be carved, painted, or may have vinyl graphics or architectural lettering attached.
